Gardenia is, perhaps, the most floral of floral scents, though I’ll bet it’s pretty amateurish of me to say that.

Quite honestly, I just want to sit and stare at this gorgeous photograph of this most lovely of flowers. Ahhh…

It is used extensively in perfumes, and has a wonderful effect on your mood. Very uplifting.

Sadly, I have to report that it is impossible to find the real essential oil on the market today. I thought to not include it at all, but realized two things:

First, it is often possible to find blooming plants. They grow fairly easily indoors, and there is nothing better, in my opinion, than the “real” thing.

And, second, there is so much synthetic stuff out there that I think it is only fair to let you know that it is synthetic, and a far, far cry from the real thing.
