Orange blossom essential oil is an exotic scent from the blossom of the bitter orange tree. It’ s expensive, but can be worth it. You only need a little bit, after all.
I know I learned somewhere that orange blossom oil, otherwise known as neroli, could have been one of the trees in the Garden of Eden, but I cannot for the life of me (excuse the pun) find my source anywhere. It very well could be, it is so beautiful.
There is a lot of misinformation about orange blossom essential oil, or neroli, most likely because it is such an expensive, beautiful scent. This scent is taken from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree, a tree that is native to southeast Asia, but now is cultivated in Europe (France and Italy). The blossoms are gathered in spring, and the essential oil is actually an absolute.
I have lived without real neroli for many, many years, but recently decided it was about time. Neroli is great for sensitive, mature skin, among other uses, so I asked for it for my 41st birthday& it is an incredible scent. Honestly, it takes me right to a Middle Eastern garden and makes me feel immediately like the world is a good place. But hey, that s just me. Your results may differ. : )

Here are some of the common uses for Neroli:
1. Really is uplifting, and may even reduce stage fright
2. Great for aging skin
3. a very gorgeous, sensual oil. I wouldn’t go so far to label it an aphrodisiac, but it has elements that can make you feel very romantic
Because Neroli is one of the 4 main orange oils, I have included it on a page dedicated to the 4 orange oils and explains their differences. You may want to check it out, if you are confused between them. By the way, the oils are neroli, mandarin, bergamot and orange.
Where to Buy Neroli Oil
When buying neroli oil, you will often find it blended with a carrier oil such as jojoba. This diluted oil simply makes an otherwise expensive oil affordable. I have chosen two examples of good quality oil, one diluted, the other pure oil.
